Skewers with Pumpkin and Marchisio Lard

INGREDIENTS
Pumpkin dices: two or three for each skewers
Marchisio Lard with Barolo wine to wrap the pumpkin
Dried aromatic herbs and garlic
Salt, pepper and cornstarch

METHOD

  1. Peel and cut the pumpkin in big dices, then steam cook the pumpkin keeping it still crunchy.
  2. It can be helpful to use the microwave: put the pumpkin in just washed and sliced, when it comes out it will be easier to peel and already cooked as needed.
  3. Mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 tablespoon of aromatic herbs, salt and pepper to taste. Roll the pumpkin dices in the mixture.
  4. Wrap the dices in Marchisio Lard with Barolo wine and put them on the skewers. Fry them over low heat with no oil or butter: when they are ready the lard is crispy and golden.

Serve them warm as an exquisite appetizer!
